Atwater Youth
soccer delivers quality youth soccer
programs that are both fun and educational. Our philosophies
are:
1.
EVERYONE PLAYS - Our program's goal is for kids to play
soccer-so we try to ensure that every player on
every team play at least half of every game.
2.
BALANCED TEAMS - Each year we form new teams as evenly
balanced as possible-because it is fair and more fun when teams of
equal ability play.
3.
OPEN REGISTRATION - Our program is open to all children
between 4 and 19 years of age who want to register and play
soccer. Interest and enthusiasm are the only criteria
for playing.
4.
POSITIVE COACHING - Encouragement of player effort provides
for greater enjoyment by the players and ultimately leads to a
better-skilled and better-motivated players.
5.
GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP - We strive to create a positive
environment based on mutual respect rather than a win-at-all-costs
attitude, and our program is designed to instill good sportsmanship
in every facet of C.Y.S.L.
Please
note that we welcome all our local youth that are interested in
playing soccer, this includes soccer players from Atwater,
Livingston, Merced, Winton, Le Grand, Planada, Balico, Buhach
Colony, the McSwain area, and other neighboring
communities.

which everyone is invited to attend! Atwater Youth Soccer
League is always looking for help from within the community and the
parents/relatives of our fine young athletes! Every year we accept
nominations for various league board positions. These positions
carry various responsibilities, but without them our league
could not operate as it does today. If you feel you or someone you
know might be a candidate for one of these please contact us using
the contact us page provided on the menu. Please note that all
positions are strictly volunteer positions and are not paid. p.s.
When you see one of the board members at meetings or at the games
make sure to let them know how much we all appreciate all of their
time and efforts and I am sure they will be grateful and it will
probably help make any day brighter.

Begins
August 6th, 2008 – All teams are allotted up to 2 practice
times per week. It will
be up to the coach’s discretion if their team will practice once
games begin. Some

on practices. Please
keep your scheduled practice time so that it does not interfere with
others.

Schedules
for games will be distributed Sept 4, 2008 & the games will
begin Sept 6, 2008. All games are on
Saturdays, coaches are responsible providing a copy of the schedule
to their players, but they should also be available on this

player MUST have a picture of the child and
the league registrar’s signature stamp on it. Please make sure you have
your cards at all games. Please note that all coaches and assistant
coaches must have their cards also. If you are missing one, please
call (209)356-0400 and leave a detailed message so that we can get

FREE COACHING CLASSES &
TRAINING:
If you are interested in coaching or assisting a coach
in either our recreational league or our competitive league, or
would simply like to have a better understanding of the game of
soccer, then you will want to attend one of our free coach
training clinics. We bring some of the best trainers around to help
train you and even obtain a coaching license (which is usually
necessary for competitive league coaches). This is at great expense
to the league, but we feel it is important to help develop our
players, so you get this at no charge to yourself! If you are
interested please contact Henry DeSousa @ (209) 230-1234 or at Henry@AtwaterYouthSoccer.com.
You can also click here for more
information.
